Challenge:

Tackle the "celebrity garage sale" component of successive, ambitious campaigns (i.e., "Make Good Things Happen" and "GMA Gets It Done 1,000 Ways") as sponsored by and promoted on ABC's Good Morning America [GMA] including the accommodation of new lots as on-going donations are made.

Kompolt provided:

Production and management were compounded by the ever-growing scale of the auctions—thirty to forty lots, respectively—as well as the requirement that bidding begin and end on-air. The first auction required eleventh-hour, on-site coordination while the second, though larger, had the prescience of advance planning.

Result:

While both auctions were helped by daily exposure on the number two morning show, the second further benefited from eBay Stores' cross-promotion factor. National outpouring of aid to victims of hurricanes Katrina and Rita (ABC anchor Robin Roberts' hometown was greatly affected) also boosted interest. Finally, consistent promotion—lacking in the first campaign—helped to ensure success in the latter auction.
