Challenge: For the first time, luxury brand retail giant, Bloomingdale’s, would offer seven exclusive, world-class experiences through their catalog for final sale on eBay. These dynamic packages—such as "In the Haute Seat" (meet Giorgio Armani and attend his Milan show) and "Life is Grand Prix" (attend the race in Monte Carlo and receive a custom Hugo Boss wardrobe)—also included sight-seeing, first-class airfare, five star hotels, and more. The Kompolt Factor: Bloomingdale’s needed an all-inclusive solution in bringing this complex campaign to the global eBay platform. Kompolt designed animated pages closely mirroring the printed creative. With a start price no lower than $25,000 for each listing, Kompolt Bidder Pre-Qualification [BPQ] was critical to the overall effort. Result: Kompolt worked closely with eBay to place promotional graphics throughout the site, including the heavily trafficked eBay "Holiday Dreams" hub page. Kompolt also utilized a Coming Soon About Me Page [CSAMP] coinciding with the release of the Bloomingdale’s highly-anticipated holiday book to allow for pre-qualification of bidders prior to the auction’s official start. Sensitive customer service resulted in AmeriCares receiving over $218,000.
